Covid-19

COVID-19 UPDATE

To Our Patients,
We hope you, your family, and your loved ones have stayed well during this unprecedented time. As we seek to move forward coming out of this pandemic, we want you to know our priority and focus are on the health and safety of our patients, as well as our employees.

Our office has always closely followed infection control guidelines issued from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), among others. We have always taken these regulations very seriously as they contribute to the safety of our patients. As we shift to our next phase of operation, we will continue to adhere to these regulations as well as federal and state recommendations.

We do want to make you aware of the specific additional measures we are taking, so you are prepared for what to expect at your upcoming appointment:

Appointment Screening – Once you arrive at our office you will be asked screening questions and temperature checks before your appointment. If you are experiencing symptoms, we may ask you to be tested for COVID-19 and your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
Sanitization – We will have stations throughout the office where you can sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer or by washing with soap and water. We will ask you, as well as our staff, to use these throughout your appointment.
Social Distancing – We will continue to follow social distancing guidelines. Patients in the waiting room shall sit at least 6 feet apart from one another. Appointments will be spaced out to limit contact amongst individuals within our office. Please be understanding, as this may pose some initial scheduling challenges as we seek to accommodate all our patients.
Office Setting – You will notice we have removed items from our waiting area and exam rooms that could potentially be handled by multiple individuals, such as magazines. This will eliminate the number of people touching different items and provide an even safer environment for patients and staff.
Personal Protective Equipment – Our staff will be wearing appropriate levels of personal protective equipment in order to protect ourselves and keep you safe. We will ask that you wear a mask upon your visit as well. Please understand this is for your safety and ours.

Remember, these measures are for the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, and we appreciate your understanding. Know that we are looking forward to serving our patients and meeting your healthcare needs with the appropriate precautions.

Should you have any questions or need to schedule an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 386-456-0300 We look forward to your next visit.
Sincerely,
The Florida Cardiopulmonary Center Team
